A short 15 minute journey in our ex US military jeeps, will see you in the lush green countryside discovering the ancient art of Vietnamese hand crafts. Share the experience of creating the symbol of Vietnam, the iconic conical hat (non la). Check out the age old process of weaving sleeping mats, and the fascinating yet simple method of making rice paper. Stop in at the Dien Khanh Citadel, once the capital of Khanh Hoa province, and then visit Ha Dua church, the oldest Catholic Church built in Khanh Hoa by the French colonialist late in 1917. A further glimpse into Vietnam’s historical architecture can be found when we explore a remarkably well-preserved 200-year-old house. Cruise the peaceful countryside, and evergreen rice paddies, farmers bent to the task of seeding or harvesting. If you happen to be here at harvest time, you will have the opportunity to discover how to cut and thresh rice by the age-old method. Lunch will be at a unique and traditional restaurant in the countryside, serving healthy and delicious food.
